SEND International Days in March 2022

There are lots of SEND International Days in March and below is a list of some along with some charities and organisations associated with them.

Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture.  CP is the most common motor disability in childhood.  Cerebral means having to do with the brain.  Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles.

Developmental Disability

Developmental disabilities refer to a group of conditions.  These are due to an impairment in one of four areas: physical, learning, language or behaviour.  These conditions begin during a child's developmental period, and typically before a person is 22 years old.  More information can be found on the Government Website.

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.

Brain Tumour

A brain tumour is a mass or growth of abnormal cells in your brain.  Many different types of brain tumours exist.  Some brain tumours are noncancerous (benign), and some brain tumours are cancerous (malignant).
