Have your say on the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and alternative provision (AP) system in England.
In February, as part of the publication of the Levelling Up white paper, the government announced that the DfE would launch a consultation on intervening in schools with successive Ofsted judgements of less than ‘Good’, so that they can better access the support they need to improve. As of Monday 28 March, this consultation is now open for response. The consultation is available via GOV.UK.
Full details of the proposed policy are available as part of the consultation including an illustrative draft of the Schools Causing Concern guidance, which demonstrates how we envision the policy working within the current intervention framework.
The consultation will be running for 8 weeks and will close on Monday, 23rd May.
